Taylor is a first-year Doctoral Academy Fellow and Graduate Assistant in the Department of Education Reform. Originally from Colorado, she has spent the past 15 years serving Arkansas public schools as a teacher, school counselor, and principal.
Taylor’s passion for education began in the Mississippi Delta, where she served with Teach for America. It was there that she developed a lasting belief in every child’s right to a high-quality education. Her experiences as a counselor and school leader have deepened her understanding of the critical role that collaboration among schools, districts, and communities plays in supporting student success. She is excited to pursue her doctoral studies in Education Policy and contribute to meaningful, research-driven change in the field. When she is not immersed in the world of education, Taylor enjoys doing puzzles, bowling, hiking with her dogs, and traveling.
Taylor holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Arkansas, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
